Grants Pass Restaurants
When visiting Grants Pass Oregon there are quite a few really great places to eat. Among the best Grants
Pass restaurants, in my opinion, are The Vine, Casa Amiga Mexican, and Rosso’s Trattoria. Choosing a
restaurant is always a challenge because everyone has such vastly differing likes and dislikes.
For such a small town there are many Grants Pass restaurants to choose from. In order to pick the right
restaurant decide ahead what it is you are looking for. You may be looking for gourmet food, romantic atmosphere, a
fantastic view, or cost could be a concern. Think about whether you are in the mood for authentic Mexican cuisine,
Italian, or Chinese take out.
Start by looking at online sites that have listings of Grants Pass restaurants. Asking a local is always a good
idea. Perhaps someone at the hotel where you are staying can recommend something to you. If you are staying in town
almost everything is within a reasonable walking distance.
It is simple to check online and read customer reviews. This is an especially good idea if the restaurant is
expensive. There is nothing worse than wasting money on a bad meal. These reviews are often written by average
people like you and me who give their honest opinions.
A lot of Grants Pass restaurants will post their menus online at their websites or at a restaurant listing site.
This allows you to see what they have to offer and the prices. This will save you time and money. You can easily
see if they don’t have anything you like or if the prices are within your budget.
One suggestion about menus, if one restaurant has a limited number of items and another has a huge array of
choices, the one with fewer options is usually better. It is always easier to do a few recipes really well than it
is to do many.
Service is always an important factor in making your dining adventure a pleasant experience. It is very hard to
return to a restaurant if the staff is not friendly, neatly dressed and efficient. I have been dining out a
restaurant where the server was wearing way too much perfume. This greatly affected the taste of the food and I
never returned. Another server could have served the same plate and I may have enjoyed it and thought it was the
best meal ever.
The location of a restaurant is not as important as what the place looks like inside. It can be an historic
building that is old but if it is clean that is all that is necessary. The historic aspect will often add quite a
bit of interest and ambiance. But if it is not clean that can ruin any appetite.
There are several Grants Pass restaurants that are micro-breweries as well. These local brews are incredible and
should definitely be taste tested. The Blackberry Ale at the Wild River Brewery is wonderful but only available
during blackberry season.
Several Grants Pass restaurants can boast of great atmosphere, service and food. Whether it is a view of the
beautiful Rogue River, the mountains, an historic site, or a freshly caught wild salmon dish, Grants Pass has it
all.
